The Hudson-Webber Foundation invests in the success of community initiatives across our four mission areas, Community & Economic Development, Safe & Just Communities, Built Environment, and Arts & Culture. The foundation has contributed more than $200 million in grants to Detroit nonprofit organizations.
Our Mission Areas
Arts & Culture
Access to art and cultural experiences is vitally important to quality of life. The arts are a way for Detroiters to connect to each other and the world. The city is home to artists and cultural institutions that have elevated Detroit’s creative spirit for generations. The Hudson-Webber Foundation invests in the capacity of arts and cultural organizations to deliver quality, accessible, and engaging cultural programming, as well as increasing the diversity of voices reflected in the sector.
Investing in the work that Detroiters are doing today to reimagine the city’s built environment as one of inclusivity, diversity, accessibility, and connectedness.
Community & Economic Development
Investing in community and civic efforts that provide high quality jobs for all Detroiters, strengthen neighborhoods to provide opportunities and quality of life for residents, and help achieve stable racial and economic diversity and interconnectedness.
